The Weill Cornell Medicine Biostatistics Summer Internship is a biostatistics and public health research exposure and training program for undergraduate students.
Through our program, students conduct a real-world applied health research project, designing and performing the statistical analysis using R, and presenting their findings at a culminating poster presentation event. In addition to gaining applied research experience, students attend educational lectures on the fundamentals and hot topics in biostatistics, hear from public health research experts on their cutting edge research, and receive 1-on-1 professional development support from a biostatistician mentor.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in healthcare and data analysis to gain training and applied experience in the fields of biostatistics and public health research. No prior experience is required.
Our 7-week program will be operating in-person in Manhattan, New York, NY from 6/8/26 – 7/24/26. Participating students will receive a $5000 stipend, housing, travel reimbursement, and funding to attend a conference in the year following completion of their program.
