FREEMAN ATHLETIC CENTER GAME OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Position Summary
The Athletics Department seeks to hire employees to assist in running games and contests for varsity teams throughout each athletic season. This position will help student employees gain skills in areas including peer leadership, conflict resolution and professional communication.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in all aspects of varsity game operations which includes but is not limited to: clock operator, music person, ball people, parking staff, game setup/breakdown/cleanup, security.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be eligible for work-study to be considered for this position.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Good attention to detail, particularly in regard to providing assistance in emergency situations around the facility.
- Team-oriented individual that is cooperative with peers and supervisors.
- Flexible to accommodate requests for different games and contests each week.
- Communicates in a timely and informative manner with supervisors regarding schedule conflicts.
Schedule & Availability
- Hiring for shifts during the 2026-2027 academic year
- Game operations employees are assigned shifts based on varsity game schedules.
- Total shift assignments range between 5 and 10 hours per week on average.
- All shifts require monitors to work on-site within the Freeman Athletic Center (161 Cross Street, Middletown, CT 06457) and the Wesleyan Athletic Fields.
