On campus, ASHA meets weekly for informative and communal conversations on sexual health, culture, and education related topics. We also offer a number of “subcommittees,” or small teams that meet throughout the week to create projects on subjects related to sexuality: zines, performances, forums, screenings, galleries, and publications have all been included in our subcommittee work.
Off campus, ASHA teaches at 4-5 regional high schools per semester with our recently revised sexual education curriculum. Our curriculum, which focuses on the intersection of identity and sexuality, includes (but is not limited to) sections on Power, Difference, and Oppression; Desires, Boundaries, and Consent; Pleasure, Masturbation and Orgasms; and Porn and Media.
