About Us
Long Lane Farm is Wesleyan’s student-run and collectively organized organic farm, operating year-round at 243 Long Lane in Middletown, Connecticut. We are a collectively run, community-organized, working organic farm supported by the College of the Environment, Bon Appetit, our faculty advisor, Professor Gillian Goslinga, Professor Barry Chernoff, Wesleyan University, and a variety of generous grants.Throughout the year, we grow and sell vegetables, fruits, herbs, and value-added products. We have a stand at the Middletown Farmer’s Market, sell produce to Bon Appetit, and host community events and programs such as PumpkinFest and May Day.

Our Mission Statement: “Long Lane is a collectively-run organic farm that employs ecological practices to provide the Middletown and Wesleyan community with good, clean food. We strive to collapse the boundary between work and play, between productivity and creativity, through applied practice and experiential agricultural learning. Long Lane Farm is a site of collaboration within our local community that demonstrates the vital importance of small farms in a just and sustainable food system.”
