What was the name of the organization you worked for over the summer?
Tarte Cosmetics Inc.
What did you work on?
I assisted the key accounts coordinators with all of Tarte’s products in North America at Sephora, Ulta, and Macy’s. One of the things I was tasked with was creating a new database with every single product in North America.
What was a highlight of your experience?
I became very comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and working in a team. I also got to participate in content production for Tarte’s Instagram, which has 10 million followers.
How did your summer experience impact you?
This summer experience has greatly impacted my skills and confidence levels; now I feel like I am prepared for other internships and opportunities and a little less scared of the real world. Thank you for allowing me to pursue this experience and further my career goals. Without this grant I would not have been able to do this.
