Cece Hawley (she/her) is a current senior studying Psychology, French, and Spanish with a minor in Global Engagements. She is interested in working in technology focusing on User Research. She is from St. Paul, MN, and she likes listening to music of all genres and being in nature. Cece has just accepted a full-time role at Bloomberg LP in the Sales & Analytics department and hopes to continue to grow her network at Wesleyan. She decided to be a PCA because she wanted to help others who also felt unsure about their career journey in college, but wanted to be proactive!
Hi, my name is Julia Kulchytska, and I am a junior majoring in Economics. I am an international student coming from Ukraine. On campus, I am a member of the Consulting Club. My main interests are social entrepreneurship, nonprofits, and venture capital. I am also very passionate about helping students figure out their interests and how to transform it into a career — that’s why I became a PCA!
Gissel Ramirez is an English major from New York City. Throughout her college career, she has been passionate about utilizing diversity strategies to connect underrepresented students to opportunities that align with their professional goals. Her experiences working one-on-one with students and fostering relationships with key campus departments have allowed her to coordinate communication efforts that support young professionals of color to capitalize on their talents. From recruitment to social media marketing, she is always looking for new ways to use her passions to diversify the workforce. At Wesleyan, she is also a tutor at the Shapiro Center for Writing and apart of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship. In her free time, Gissel likes to go to concerts, edit photos, and read astrology charts.
Florina is a senior from Indonesia majoring in East Asian Studies and Economics. She took a data journalism course over the summer and has been pivoting back and forth over her post-grad career plans ever since. When she’s not in class or cooking an elaborate meal with friends, you can find her working at Olin Library or the Gordon Career Center. As an international student, she has experience with applying for CPT, working on and off campus under F1 visa regulations, and considering career options beyond the US. She is eager to help students think through their career choices and would encourage them to not box themselves in one early on — she’s still working on unboxing hers.
Zeyad is a junior from Queens, New York studying Economics and Government. Outside of his academics and work at the Gordon Career Center, Zeyad co-leads the Wesleyan Investment Group, writes for the Wesleyan Business Review, and is a member of the sailing team. During his time at Wesleyan, Zeyad has had the opportunity to pursue his career interests via internships, Cardinal Connections, and GCC-hosted networking events. He thoroughly enjoys his work as a Peer Career Advisor, which gives him the opportunity to connect with and guide his fellow Cardinals through the internship and job search process. He particularly enjoys working with students interested in pursuing careers in finance, consulting, or elsewhere in the world of business.
Sarah (she/her) is a Junior at Wesleyan from Brookline, MA pursuing a University Major in Applied Design and Society alongside a minor in IDEAS. She is passionate about the interaction between humans and their physically designed world. This passion fueled her aspirations to create a specific academic path towards her desired career field. As a PCA, she hopes to use her experience of designing a major to help her peers find a connection between the skills they develop at Wesleyan and the professional world. She is also eager to support her peers interested in the world of design as they develop portfolios and learn to discuss and present their work in a professional setting. Sarah has interned at Liberty Mutual on the Real Estate Delivery team where she took part in a project concerned with the consolidation and design of two office buildings. Outside of work and school, Sarah is a part of multiple on-campus communities including the Wesleyan Track & Field team, Fray Magazine, Chabad, and Club Soccer. In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, running, and working on hobby interior design projects.
Hello! My name is Aaron Leong, and I’m a sophomore from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, majoring in economics. In my free time, I love traveling and meeting new people from different cultures, as well as learning more about my home country, whether it be through following the news, reading history books or connecting with other Malaysians. I’m also a big fan of science fiction movies and books, and one of my goals this year is to finish reading the Three Body trilogy by Liu Cixin – I’ve gotten through the first two books so far! As an international first-generation student, I understand how challenging it can be to adapt to the academic, social and work culture here in the US, so feel free to reach out to me if you would like to explore the resources available to facilitate that transition, or even if you just need someone to talk to. Also, I like to pick up new languages, so feel free to teach me something in your mother tongue 🙂
Major: Economics – Minors: East Asian Studies, Data Analysis
Activities & Student Orgs: Academic Peer Advisor, Freeman Asian Scholars’ Association
George is a second year majoring in physics and astronomy. He is passionate about environmentalism and sustainability, and is a part of Wesleyan’s Boxing Club. During his gap year, George worked as an assistant teacher for a FIRST Robotics team and also interned at Energy Garden, an NGO that focuses on community-owned renewable energy and increasing access to green spaces in cities. Growing up, he lived in Houston, Beijing, New Delhi, Rome, and London. As a Peer Career Advisor, he hopes to empower students to pursue their interests, especially students interested in STEM fields.
Olivia is from Brooklyn, New York. In her free time, she loves to read, sing, cook and spend time with her dog, Nova. On campus, she hopes to become involved in more clubs such as Wes Cardinal Kids, Wes Latin and Ballroom and Black Raspberry in order to meet more people and go a little out of her comfort zone. In the future, she is interested in pursing a career in either law or education as she’s always been more interested in social sciences. In high school, she was a Peer Supporter which helped her recognize her passion for encouraging and collaborating with other students. She’s excited to continue that work and help everyone, especially POC and LGBTQIA+ students, as they discover their true passions through internship and career building.
