Small New York-based boutique design firm seeking a talented designer with 0-3 years’ experience with a passion for designing content- and information-rich branding, print communications, presentations and websites. Should have experience and/or willingness to work in an “all-hands-on-deck” small/boutique design studio with growth opportunities.
Skills/Qualifications
- 0-3 years’ experience with a portfolio of work that demonstrates strong potential in design, typography and production skills.
- Strong typography skills.
- Experience and/or willingness to work in an “all-hands-on-deck” small creative team and wear many hats.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite.
- Experience with MicroSoft Office programs.
- Organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker and self-motivated.

Design / Production Responsibilities (85%)
Effective designs are developed to achieve the client’s objectives.
- Based on project brief and internal kick-off meeting help design and refine concepts/solutions under the direction of the Creative Director and the Senior Designers.
- Design forward thinking designs.
- Help prepare select conceptual presentations to client and participate on presentation calls with clients.
- Layout and produce select projects. Includes:
- create necessary templates, master files, style sheets, etc.
- make copy edits and manage edits/rounds
- ensure vector artwork is built correctly and prepare final electronic files for printer-ready output
- research and modify images/assets (including photo retouching)
- prepare proofs or prototypes for clients
- ensure all electronic files are built responsibly (smallest size, proper naming conventions, error free);
- Produce work accurately, on time, and with a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality results.
- When applicable participate in kick-off, routine check-ins, and final delivery meetings with clients.
Team and Self-Management Responsibilities (10%)
