Meet the Peer Career Advisors

Alexis is majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and Chemistry and minoring in Ideas. She always had a passion for building things and figuring out how things work, which led her down her academic pathway. She is Russian-American, however, has spent the last 8 years living in London, England. She has spent a year conducting research in a lab studying the role of copper in cell differentiation, however, has experience in many spheres on campus, including fashion, art, and journalism! This breadth of interest is what led her to become a Peer Career Advisor, and she is excited to talk about any sphere of study or experience a student is interested in.

Honor (she/her) was born and raised in Hong Kong, but now lives in New York. In her free time, she loves to do crosswords, bake, go to workout classes, and listen to history and business podcasts. Honor’s career interests lie in the business/finance space – one of her most meaningful career experiences was working for a flexible office real estate company based in Hong Kong last summer. Honor loves being a PCA because she finds it so interesting to see all the different passions and career interests that Wesleyan students have!

Kenny (he/him) is a Junior from Boston, MA majoring in Economics, Psychology, and Education Studies. He currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Green Fund Committee and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee on the Wesleyan Student Assembly. In his past, his experience spans research, fundraising, and student leadership, all grounded in a commitment to thoughtful and impactful work. In his free time, Kenny enjoys watching the Boston Celtics, playing the flute, and going on hikes. As a Peer Career Advisor, Kenny is excited to help others who are passionate in making social impact achieve their goals.

Olivia (she/her) is a Senior from Brooklyn, NY, who is majoring in Sociology and Education Studies with a minor in African American Studies. She has plans to pursue a career in either Admissions or Law with experience in both. In terms of involvement on campus, she is a tutor for WesReads/WesMath, a teaching assistant for Afghan Female Student Outreach Program and an education curriculum volunteer for Pyari. This summer, she worked as a Family and Enrollment Intern for Zeta Charter School, a research assistant for Rachel Besharat-Mann and some occasional babysitting for her baby cousin! She is also starting a new position as a Senior Intern for the Admissions Office. As a Peer Career Advisor, Olivia hopes to continue to help others and make meaningful connections through career work.

Mischka is a junior from Manila, Philippines, majoring in Economics and Psychology. Passionate about consulting and social impact, she has interned at a femtech startup focused on women’s healthcare and volunteered as a therapeutic art facilitator in rehabilitation centers in Manila. This past summer, she worked at a large Philippine conglomerate in their Financial and Business Planning units. Her involvement at Wesleyan includes her experience as a Teaching Fellow for the National Education Equity Lab’s Introduction to Psychology course and a board member of Consulting Pathways. Outside of academics, Mischka (she/her) enjoys exploring visual arts, baking, and traveling. As a Peer Career Advisor, she is eager to support fellow international students and help them pursue their own career goals.

Zoey is a sophomore at Wesleyan from Westchester, NY studying International Relations and pursuing a Global Engagement Minor. This past summer, she interned through NYU’s CLIP program at the National Council of Jewish Women, focusing on reproductive justice and community initiatives. On campus, she is a co-coordinator for Wesleyan’s Habitat for Humanity chapter, serves as the financial manager for WesACLU, and writes for the Middletown Observer. She loves playing tennis, photography, and anything cinnamon-flavored. As a first-year Peer Career Advisor, Zoey is excited to help students explore their interests and passions, especially those related to advocacy, global affairs, and community engagement.
