🎉 January is Wesleyan Career Month! Join us for student stories, alumni connections, and career exploration through virtual programs all month long!

Meet the Peer Career Advisors

Our Peer Career Advisors (PCAs) are highly trained student leaders who are here to help you take your next step—whether you’re building your first résumé, exploring internships, or just figuring out where to start.

PCAs offer 20-minute appointments throughout the week and can support you with:

  • Crafting and refining your résumé or cover letter
  • Navigating Handshake and other career tools
  • Learning how to search for jobs, internships, or campus employment
  • Exploring ways to get involved on campus or gain experience
  • Connecting you with the right career advisor based on your interests and goals
  • Practicing networking and learning how to connect with Wesleyan alumni

They’ve been in your shoes, and they understand what it’s like to balance academics, activities, and career planning. Click on each PCA’s photo to read their bio to learn about their background and interests, schedule an appointment, and stop by the GCC to say hello!

Alexis Gerwe

Class of 2027

Alexis is majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and Chemistry and minoring in Ideas. She always had a passion for building things and figuring out how things work, which led her down her academic pathway. She is Russian-American, however, has spent the last 8 years living in London, England. She has spent a year conducting research in a lab studying the role of copper in cell differentiation, however, has experience in many spheres on campus, including fashion, art, and journalism! This breadth of interest is what led her to become a Peer Career Advisor, and she is excited to talk about any sphere of study or experience a student is interested in.
