WesLink, our annual virtual networking program, connects Wesleyan students with alumni for one-on-one career conversations during winter break. For students, WesLink offers a valuable opportunity to explore career paths, gain insight into specific roles and industries, and build lasting connections with alumni. For alumni, it’s a chance to reflect on their career journeys, share advice, and engage with students eager to learn from their experiences. Each fall, alumni are invited to register as volunteers while students review alumni profiles and submit their top choices for meetings. Based on interest and availability, each alum is “linked” with 1 to 3 students for these personalized conversations. The program is designed to be flexible: once alumni and students are matched, they coordinate directly to schedule a meeting at a mutually convenient time during the University’s winter break, January 6–20, 2025.

To be considered, students submit their approved resumes to the WesLink job posting on Handshake and complete the linked Microsoft application form, selecting at least 3 alumni they’re interested in connecting with before the 11:59pm deadline on Wednesday, November 22.

Students must have their resume approved on Handshake by the Gordon Career Center to apply and be eligible to participate in this program. The resume review and approval process can take several business days, so it’s best to get a head start if your resume has not yet been approved on Handshake. Review our resume writing guide and resources and schedule a resume review appointment to meet with a Peer Career Advisor for individual guidance.
