Summary
The Fronius USA Sales Trainee will be trained in the skills and knowledge necessary to become both a successful independent sales representative and team player in the sales industry. This employee will start in Segment Team, learn Fronius, our processes, and sales methods from the ground up – establishing a trusting relationship, before being assigned to a region or to continue with Segment Team if they choose so. The initial 12 months of training will be at our Portage location. The end goal of the program is to transition a Sales Trainee into a permanent sales role at one of the Fronius USA locations. This position reports to the Director of Perfect Welding but will be embedded with Segment Team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Gains knowledge on Fronius products and service offerings as well as understand Fronius markets and the competitive landscape.
- Becomes familiar with Fronius welding solution presentations and product demonstrations.
- Creates quote proposals using proper methodology.
- Obtains overview of general Fronius processes, tools, department roles/responsibilities and systems regularly used.
- Learns product line and how to apply it on each application.
- Assists the National Sales Enablement Team with administrative tasks.
- Supports Account Management with designated customers
- Learn sales & marketing processes of Fronius USA
- Develops sales skills, communication skills, and overall sales expertise.
- Learn the main functions of our CRM system.
- Applies Fronius lead management process.
- Prospects potential new customers by various methods
- Supports sales pipeline by identifying and creating new sales opportunities.
- Learn all welding concepts needed to present Fronius equipment.
- Demonstrates each quarter that assigned curriculum has been acquired (curriculum to be presented with job proposal)
- All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Possess a valid passport or have the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Eager to Learn, with strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility.

- Highly coachable and enthusiastic
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent written, verbal, negotiation presentation and public speaking skills
- Capable of working in a remote office, setting goals, objectives and successfully implementing plans without close supervision or direction
- Excellent time management skills required to manage a large and diverse range of customers (manufacturers, distributors, etc.)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills
- Proficient in the use of internal and other resources for research, professional development, and communication
