FGP/SCP Program Manager
The Program Manager for the Americorps Senior Programs: Foster Grandparent Program and Senior Companion Program, manages grant expectations, assures compliance to grant program requirements, and is supervisor to Program Coordinator.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Outreach and provide support to tribal partners in meeting grant requirements.
- Completes and submits CNCS progress reports on a timely basis.
- Develop and implement a recruitment plan to recruit elder volunteers.
- Travel to tribal station sites as needed to provide support in meeting all CNCS grant requirements.
- As needed, assist Elders department staff at participating tribal sites in Senior Corps recruiting, orienting, and placing volunteers at approved tribes within the GLITC service area.
- Act as main contact for site supervisors to determine volunteer needs, requests, or compliance related issues.
- Supervise FGP/SCP Program Coordinator to assure all submitted reports, policies and procedures, and forms are compliant.
- Lead on all CNCS program audit activities with Program Coordinator to assure compliance to program operations audit requirements.
- Review and assure compliance to relevant volunteer and station site data including volunteer background check and station site MOUs to support program activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead contact between volunteers and tribal work sites in the capacity of volunteer issues, data collection and reporting.
- Provide Tribal LTC Operations Program Manager with updates to program activities that affect quality and compliance of service provided.
- Assure that all services are delivered in a culturally competent manner.
- Engage in networking activities to ensure awareness of services available.
- Participate on various committees outside and within the organization as deemed necessary and appropriate to the position and supervisor.
- Attend all training sessions and meetings as scheduled.
- Attend technical conferences and seminars to stay current on technological advances.
- Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
This is a full-time exempt position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. This position is in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin. This is not a remote position. This position, based on skills and experience, has a salary of $50,000 annually with benefits including Annual Leave, Personal Leave and Holiday Pay; Health, Dental, Life & AD&D, STD and LTD Insurance, FSA and 401(k) Retirement Plan. This position requires frequent travel for the purposes of attending community and program related activities. Drug and background screening is required before hire.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in education, health care, human services, social/psychology or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Minimum of one year’s experience in the human services field required. Experience with a Native American Tribal organization and/or not-for-profit agency preferred. Individual must possess: excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with Microsoft products; professional demeanor and appearance; problem solving skills; ability to manage time effectively; ability to work independently and make decisions to support program activities; self-motivation skills; work effectively under pressure; ability to build positive work relationships with internal and external customers; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people. Individuals must be able to follow routine instructions and apply logic in the solving of various computer related issues and data entry. Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation with adequate insurance. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
