Course Assistant – Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, MB&B208 – Fall 2024
Position Summary:
The Wesleyan Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry seeks to hire 2 Undergraduate Course Assistants to support MB&B208 for the 2024 Fall Semester.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Course Assistants are expected to attend class discussions and hold CA hours and/or study groups. Other responsibilities may include helping to prepare course materials, setting up classroom space, or assisting to grade objective questions and should be discussed with the course instructor.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Successful candidates have typically earned at least an A- in MB&B208. MB&B Majors are particularly encouraged to apply.
Schedule and Availability:
- CAs will work an average of 5 hours per week during the Fall Semester, Sept 2nd 2024 – Dec 14th 2024
- MB&B208 will be offered in one section in the Fall of 2024: MWF 9:50am – 10:40am
- CA will additionally coordinate with Instructor to schedule CA Hours and/or study sessions outside of class times.
Job Classification:
All MB&B Course Assistants are paid the same hourly wage of $15.69

Course Assistants will report to the instructor of the course, Professor Scott Holmes, sholmes@wesleyan.edu

Performance Evaluation:
Course Instructor will meet regularly with undergraduate Course Assistants to evaluate performance and expectations.
