What is your current role? What was your journey in arriving there?
I am a Law Clerk at Mayer Brown LLP. I went to law school because attorneys help their clients find solutions. I love problem-solving and learning more about complex topics. Becoming a lawyer was a perfect fit.

What do you enjoy about your work? What do you struggle with?
When you work with clients on multifaceted issues, you have to learn a lot about a specific topic in a short amount of time. I embrace these challenges and, in doing so, improve my own skill set, which helps provide the best solutions for our clients.

Do you have any advice for students thinking about entering your industry?
If you are considering law school, I think it’s a great idea to work in a law-related internship or job before making the decision to apply. It’s a big commitment so you should make sure you are ready.

How did your time at Wesleyan influence your career choice/journey?
Wesleyan provides a holistic liberal arts education. By taking classes across many disciplines, I was challenged to learn more about novel topics. After graduating, I felt very prepared to enter the legal field.
